About bazifor.me (关于我们)

bazifor.me began with a family question and an engineer's irritation. The question: which bedroom should each child sleep in, which way should the beds point, when should we move? The irritation: every answer available was either a paid consultation you had to take on faith, or an AI chatbot that produced different answers each time you asked.

The classical literature — BaZi (八字) four pillars, Eight House (八宅), Flying Stars (玄空飞星), date selection (择日) — turns out to be far more procedural than its mystique suggests. Rules, tables, precedence orders. So we did what engineers do: encoded the procedures, tested them against benchmarks, and made every output cite its source.

What we believe (三条原则)

1 · Computation before interpretation. The calendar math has one right answer; get it exactly right (Start of Spring (立春) boundaries, true solar time, historical clock regimes) before saying anything about a life.

2 · Every claim carries its citation. A reading you cannot check is a performance. Each line of a bazifor.me reading names the classical rule that produced it — so you can look the rule up, disagree with the school, or verify the arithmetic.

3 · No AI guesswork at reading time. No large language model generates your results. The engine is deterministic: same input, same output, forever — which is what makes validation possible at all.

The benchmark test: we reproduced a professionally produced, paid fengshui audit to the digit — 27/27 flying-star palaces, 32/32 directional assignments — and match commercial chart products character-for-character on the calendar layer. That standard is only meetable by a system that computes.

Who it's for (为谁而做)

Families making real decisions: choosing between homes, allocating bedrooms, pointing beds and desks, naming a baby, picking a renovation window or a moving date. The tools handle up to eight people and six homes in one private workspace, in English and Simplified Chinese (简体中文), with historical calendar handling for any birth city (yes, including Singapore's pre-1982 UTC+7:30 clock).

What it costs (费用)

Everything on the site is free during early access. If paid tiers arrive later, the free chart and the citation-first principle stay.

Data we use

Birth cities, their coordinates and time zones come from GeoNames (cities15000, CC BY 4.0). Historical clock offsets come from the IANA time zone database.

The best introduction is your own chart.
